Teleconferencing and on-line meeting tools allow project team members from different physical locations to collaborate as if they were in the same room. Many companies already leverage these tools for internal site-to-site collaborations and telecommuting as a means of cutting costs.
Similarly, I can work with in-house staff members to lead projects as a "virtual" team member. I have several years experience in this type of environment having collaborated with colleagues in different parts of the US and in other countries.
Real-time and ongoing involvement is what keeps research projects on track, meeting key deadlines and milestones. Periodic, retrospective reviews of progress will not get back lost time should a project get off track.

Expert Witness
There are very few industrial microbiology experts available who have the appropriate scientific background AND understanding of how that science is practiced in an industrial setting. I have experience working on bioprocesses at the lab, pilot, and even manufacturing scales.
I have written expert witness statements, rebuttals, and spent time on the witness stand during direct and cross examinations.My background can be invaluable during the discovery phase and I can make sense out of and identify key facts in documents that might otherwise go un-noticed.
Protein Production by Cell Culture
Whether the protein of interest is a product candidate or a potential drug target, producing 10s-100s of milligrams for evaluation early in a program is critical to the success of a research program.
I can help your organization establish a small scale protein production lab (e.g. using transient transfection) and oversee it's operation. I can help navigate the assortment of expression hosts, affinity tags, and possible truncations for producing your protein regardless of whether you do the work internally or wish to outsource.

Fees for Service
